A Real God and a Real Hell

Discuss. What are you impressions about this patient and the chaplain sent to console him in his dying hour? I can’t help but think that there is something to what this patient was getting at. Postmodern “spirituality” and the weak Christianity we see (I am thinking of the Unitarian Universalist I saw with Honzo JR) doesn’t help when it comes down to it and a person needs to know that there is something on the other side and how to deal with their guilt that they have. I think this man points out that our souls cry out to know a transcendent God who is just and righteous as well as loving and forgiving. What do you guys think about this clip? I leave this open to where ever it takes us. It should be fun.

Sorry Cheepham, I forgot that you can’t watch videos on youtube. Is there another site you can watch this clip that I can find for you?

First off, I love the name cheepham, even if it is different from Cheapham. It conjures images of bird feed and bacon. But more importantly, I liked the clip - it speaks to issues I have with that line of thinking (was that Almeada in the clip?). The Bible makes it pretty clear that there are lasting cosequences for our real actions. I don’t think I’d yell it at someone. Ok, the only having a bagel today combined with getting no sleep last night and playing full court basketball is setting in and I am no longer able to think rationally. Peace.a
Sorry for misspelling Cheapham. It’s Michelle Dessler Tony Almeida’s wife in 24 and she is also the Marine captain in AVP-Requiem.
Bird feed and bacon makes a fine meal when you’re a grad-student.
I’ll definitely give all these vids a watch once Jesus is risen on March 23.
Off topic…
Here is an idea for you guys studying greek and latin.
You need to start your online school via YouTube where you teach the rest of us some of the basic greek and latin.
Now that would be mass theology.
Great video by the way…
If you wanna learn those languages, pick up a Wheelock’s Latin, Hanson and Quinn’s Greek, and Intensive Course, and a billion note cards.
Bill Mounce’s Basics of Biblical Greek is a good introduction to NT Greek as well. Luckily note cards aren’t too expensive cuz you’ll need them.
I’m glad you mentioned Mounce. I heard about him in a recent podcast. Is there a link you recommend?
Is this it?

Wow i first heard this on way of the master radio first time seeing a reall video clip . its a really sad situation . if we leave it up to each person to decide what god wants then help us lest we fall into a deeper pit of selfish desires and wicked intentions being carried out. imagine if we have our way deciding what is right from wrong all the day ignoring our conscience as we so often do
