I darn sure has been the hardest one for me - and I can only say this in word - I hope I could live it out in deed as well.

Could my reply make less sense?

What I meant to say is that I am barely able to be the above in word - in deed I am untested, but I’ll like to think so.

It needed to be said. I suspect many Christians have dis-honored God and wasted much of their time hating this man.

I look forward to the day when we can remove the word “enemy” from our collective vocabularies. The word itself (unfortunately) perpetuates othering, it affirms and continues the violence of labeling. Just think of a day when this verse doesn’t even make sense to us, because we have actually been the “peacemakers” we are required to be.

Thanks for posting this, (IMO) there are few more poignant turns of the phrase that represent the very heart of the Gospel. It shows us how little “progress” we’ve actually made.
